DIRECT ROVING

Vetrotex Direct Roving is a splice free single end roving made of E-Glass and is suitable for use in various textile technologies.

Direct roving exhibits key properties such as:

  • Splice free single end roving, free of catenary, the integrity is given by the size.
  • Good warping and weaving properties in both warp (machine) and fill (crosswise) direction even with leno woven fabrics.
  • Easy to impregnate due to the lack of twist.
  • Size TD44C: excellent compatibility with epoxy, polyester, vinyl ester and phenolic resins.
  • Size T99C: excellent alcaline resistance. Vetrotex ZeroTwist can be well and easy impregnated with alkaline and water resistance resins, being used for EIFS application (like acrylic styrene acrylate polymers and copolymers).

Weaving

The weaving machine, or loom, interlaces the warp and filling yarns according to a weave pattern to form a fabric structure.

Knitting

Knitting is a process in which three different yarn sources are used to form a fabric. Beyond warp and weft yarns, a stitched yarn is used to tie the warp and weft yarns together.

Finishing
