Wind energy

Twisted fiberglass yarns and ZeroTwist® are used in lightweight constructions for the globally growing wind energy industry where they have been integrated in multiple wind energy applications for many years.

Rotor blades and nacelles for wind generation are based on composites manufactured from resin compatible E-Glass yarns. Fiberglass composite components allow high strength at a low weight, so that longer and more efficient rotor blades for larger wind turbines can be manufactured in a cost effective way.

Fiberglass reinforced rotor blades can reach rotor blades lengths of up to 80 meters / 262 feet and are utilized in different environments on land and offshore wind mill installations.
