Vetrotex Texturized and Voluminized Glass Yarns

Vetrotex texturized and voluminized products are produced by introducing E-glass continuous filaments to airstream turbulence.

Home > Products > Texturized and Voluminized

In the texturizing process, the glass yarns or strands are overfed in a nozzle in which an airstream creates turbulence that causes the formation of loops and imparts a slight bulk. The stability of the effect depends mainly on the friction and cohesion between the individual glass filaments.

In the voluminizing process, the glass yarns or strands are drawn through a nozzle in which an airstream creates turbulence that imparts a high bulk. Voluminized products can also be twisted and plied in order to give the end product special properties.

Texturized Products

Texturizing process for glass yarn

Turbofil products offer special properties that make it ideal for high-quality wall covering applications.

ECT is a texturized yarn for all round applications.
The loops are smaller compared to the ones of ECTE yarns.

Voluminized Products

Volumizing process for glass yarns

ECO yarns are voluminized glass filament strands.

Glass multiple wound voluminized ECO yarns are made of two or more glass voluminized ECO yarns that are wound together on a paper tube without being twisted together.

ECOS yarns are ECO yarns modified with a twist. The yarn is manufactured either single or plied.

K251 K251 products are produced by blowing a stream of air in continuous filament yarn while it is being delivered at a higher rate than being taken by the winding process. The Vetrotex texturizing effect is optimal fixed in order to allow beaming, weaving and finishing treatments.
T10 Glue/tenside oil/silane based sizing system developed for air jet texturizing and voluminizing process after strands drying at high temperature. All individual filaments are quantitatively divided through an air jet process resulting in very quick wetting. The yarns are compatible with water-based polymer systems, all types of resins and bitumen.
